    Had one of these for Christmas, my family were unsure about the change from a whole turkey but enjoyed it so much they requested one for Easter. It didn’t disappoint, wonderful tasty moist bird feast. Thank you.

    I had read all of the reviews before ordering my 3 bird roast. I saw that a few had mentioned the lack of duck. I was advised by James Alexander this had now been corrected.
    I have to say the roast itself was very moist, arrived well packaged and on time. Followed cooking instructions, just perfect. BUT there was very little duck, which was dissapointing. All in all though we enjoyed it very much.

    This was our first experience of a 3 bird roast & we all were very impressed. The food arrived on time, was very easy to cook & turned out to be moist, flavoursome & most important of all, sufficient to feed 6 hungry adults. Well done, James Alexander Fine Foods!

    This was our first time ordering with your website and we were most impressed. The roast was absolutely delicious and succulent. We ordered the 2kg bird and there was plenty for leftovers as no waste. As someone else has previously mentioned, it is a bit hard to tell which meat was which.
    However, we will definitely order next year!!

    This is the second time we bought our Xmas roast from you. Thank you so much for sending out the roast which arrived right on time again! It was really easy to cook (great cooking instructions online) and tasted moist and delicious. Plenty to go round - 2.5kilo bird was plenty for 5 adults (and we all had seconds) plus enough for sandwiches later. See you next year!

    Cooked this for my family and it made our Christmas day. The meat was moist and so tasty. I am celiac and had to order one without the sausage meat and they could have been more accommodating. Excellent product, amazing customer service.

The Ultimate Christmas Joint – boneless, easy to carve, full of flavour and guaranteed to impress.

Our famous hand prepared 3 bird roasts are made to order from Turkey, Chicken and Duck, expertly combined together so that each bird cooks the next one inside and the juices combine exquisitely.

Luxury award-winning pork sausage stuffing is then added to ensure exquisite taste and melt-in-the-mouth texture.  Lastly, the joint is dressed with award-winning Cumbrian pancetta and a couple of sprigs of thyme to maintain the succulent flavours inside and to add visual “wow” effect.

After the main feast any that is left over also tastes very good cold, so you can look forward to another treat if you don’t finish it in the first sitting. 


How to Cook your Bird Roast

  • Bring the joint up to room temperature.        
  • Pre-heat your oven to 190°c/375° (180°c or gas mark 5 for fan assisted ovens)
  • Calculate the cooking time allowing 15 minutes per 450g, then add 20-30 minutes to overall cooking time
  • Remove the packaging and place in a large roasting tray
  • Season well
  • Cover with a loose tent of foil
  • Place in the middle of your pre-heated oven
  • Roast for the calculated time basting every 30 to 40 minutes
  • Remove the foil tent 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time to brown and crisp the skin
  • Check that it is cooked by inserting a skewer – the juices should run clear. If they are a little pink give them 15 minutes more and check again
  • Transfer to a serving platter and tightly cover in the foil and allow to rest for 30 minutes before carving
