    We ordered this roast for 6 people for Christmas Dinner. It was a show stopper with everyone enjoying something a bit different from the usual Turkey. After sandwiches and Boxing Day buffet there is still sufficient with the ham I cooked to make a pie. We will definitely order it again

    I have bought this 5 Bird roast for many Xmas’ now from the 4.5Kg to the 3.5Kg size for the last 3 years. The Meat, taste, quality, in my opinion cannot be beaten however the standard cooking instructions are too long resulting in a dry overcooked bird. Having purchased digital meat thermometers the instructions are at least 30 minutes over. I fully understand no one wishes undercooked meat however overcooking delicious meat is also not acceptable. I would recommend a meat thermometer and for £30 in Amazon or similar works for multiple meat types. This would be 5 Starts if the cooking instructions were correct to ensure a minimum 75Deg C internal temperature.

    An amazing roast, halved and enjoyed at two different tables across London at the same time, due to Covid-19 Tier 4 restrictions.
    Delivered on time in good packaging, with clear cooking instructions.
    Thank you for a fantastic feast, very enjoyable cold as well!

    Absolutely delicious roast, making our Christmas dinner extra special. Made a fantastic rich gravy. Revised cooking instructions worked well, but if anything we could’ve given it a slightly shorter cook for a more moist meat.
    Very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition.
    Would buy again!

Product Description

Our famous hand prepared 5 bird roasts are made to order from Turkey, Pheasant, Chicken, Duck and Wild Wood Pigeon, expertly combined together so that each bird cooks the next one inside and the juices combine exquisitely.

Luxury award-winning gluten free pork sausage stuffing is then added to ensure exquisite taste and melt-in-the-mouth texture.  Lastly, the joint is dressed with award-winning Cumbrian pancetta and a couple of sprigs of thyme to maintain the succulent flavours inside and to add visual “wow” effect.

After the main feast any that is left over also tastes very good cold, so you can look forward to another treat if you don’t finish it in the first sitting.

How to Cook your Bird Roast

  • Bring the joint up to room temperature.        
  • Pre-heat your oven to 190°c/375° (170°c or gas mark 5 for fan assisted ovens)
  • Calculate the cooking time allowing 40 minutes per kg, then add 15-20 minutes to overall cooking time
  • Remove the packaging and place in a large roasting tray
  • Season well
  • Cover with a loose tent of foil
  • Place in the middle of your pre-heated oven
  • Roast for the calculated time basting every 30 to 40 minutes
  • Remove the foil tent 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time to brown and crisp the skin
  • Check that it is cooked by inserting a skewer – the juices should run clear. If they are a little pink give them 15 minutes more and check again
  • Transfer to a serving platter and tightly cover in the foil and allow to rest for 10 minutes before carving
