Poultry Manager at Lowther Park Farms
The first documented reference to the Lowther Estate near Penrith was made in 1283, which gives some idea of how long the family has been in Cumberland and Westmorland. These days some 3000 acres of the Lowther Estate are managed organically, producing beef, lamb and 1200 organic, free range chickens (the Lakeland Ranger) a week. Organic bronze turkeys are available at Christmas time. Outlets include: Booths Supermarkets: online from the website; Westmorland Farm Shops on the M6, and Cranstons Food Hall, Penrith as well as a range of Farm shops, restaurants and quality outlets.
"I have worked for Lowther Park Farms for 20 years, I am the Poultry Manager and responsible for everything poultry including production, sales and development. Richard Price is general Manager of Lowther Park Farms and we are answerable to Charles Lowther, youngest son of the late Hugh Lowther."
