    Cooked the 4 bird roast for an early festive meal at the weekend and everyone thought it was wonderful. Perfectly juicy, beautifully tender and tasty. Will certainly buy again next year. We had the 2kg bird which was ample for four adults and two children with plenty of leftovers. Delivery and communications regarding order very good too.

    Absolutely loved our 4 bird roast for Xmas dinner. Definitely would recommend and would look to purchase for next Xmas. We bought the 2kg bird and it fed 6 adults and 2 kids with plenty of left over for dinner on boxing day. Took 2 hours to cook and was enjoyed by everyone. Service was excellent. Thank you

    Very pleased with our 4 Bird Roast. It arrived by courier exactly as advised - beautifully wrapped in icy packaging. Deliciously tender meat with layers of good stuffing. For anyone requiring greater detail on Portion Control - we filled a family of 5, twice. Fantastic value. As we have limited food storage space this year it was wonderful to have a splendid selection of birds - without the endless carving and final dismemberment for soup. More time for Family Fun - and refilling my glass.

    The 4-bird roast made a delicious change from normal turkey. It looked quite small but as it is solid meat (no bones) it went a lot further than I thought.

    Easy to cook and carve and very tasty and succulent.

    I would choose this again

The Ultimate Christmas Joint – boneless, easy to carve, full of flavour and guaranteed to impress.

Our hand prepared 4 bird roasts are made to order from local free range Turkey, Pheasant, Chicken and Mallard Duck, expertly combined together so that each bird cooks the next one inside and the juices combine exquisitely.

Luxury award-winning pork sausage stuffing is then added to ensure exquisite taste and melt-in-the-mouth texture.  Lastly, the joint is dressed with award-winning Cumbrian pancetta and a couple of sprigs of thyme to maintain the succulent flavours inside and to add visual “wow” effect.

After the main feast any that is left over also tastes very good cold, so you can look forward to another treat if you don’t finish it in the first sitting.

All produce is sourced within a 30 miles radius of where the production takes place:

  • The Turkeys are Free Range and sourced from Cocklakes Farm within the Lake Distirict near Keswick.
  • The Pheasants are sourced from local estates within Cumbria.
  • The Chickens are Free Range and sourced from near Penrith.
  • The Mallard Ducks are sourced and shot from local estates within Cumbria.


How to Cook your Bird Roast

  • Pre-heat your oven to 190°c/375° (180°c or gas mark 5 for fan assisted ovens)
  • Calculate the cooking time allowing 50 minutes per kilogram
  • Remove the packaging and place in a large roasting tray
  • Season well
  • Cover with a loose tent of foil
  • Place in the middle of your pre-heated oven
  • Roast for the calculated time basting every 30 to 40 minutes
  • Remove the foil tent 30 minutes before the end of the cooking time to brown and crisp the skin
  • Check that it is cooked by inserting a skewer – the juices should run clear. If they are a little pink give them 15 minutes more and check again
  • Transfer to a serving platter and tightly cover in the foil and allow to rest for 15 to 30 minutes before carving
